Our Mission

As one of the oldest Chinese universities, Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) is known as the birthplace of China’s modern education in transportation, mining, metallurgy, and civil engineering. Having promoted the development of the Chinese railway system for 126 years, SWJTU is now continuously contributing to the development of the high-speed railway system and the Belt and Road Initiative. With a global vision, our research aims to provide scientific and engineering solutions for the global challenges of tomorrow, making a positive contribution to the world.
