No. SWJTU will arrange on-campus dormitory for all new students if the empty rooms are available. If the rooms are limited, we will email you to make sure.
You can apply for live off-campus in the end of your first year.
We do not suggest students bring family members but if it is needed, students need to invite family members by themselves and cannot live on international students dormitory.
