I really enjoy two years’ life being one of the Joint School students, which provide me with confidence to use English as a tool to communication and studying. I learn to balance the study between the global vision and Chinese system. I devoted myself in academic competition and won many rewards to cultivate my professional abilities.

After transferring to Leeds, I got the opportunity to live in Leeds and exposure myself to English environment, I become more independent in daily life and I make many friends by joining in LUU meeting with people from different kinds of range of academic disciplines and countries every day, which helps me to learn much more about how to address the relationship among the diverse cultures. And I think it is quite easy to get used to the life here because of two years’ SWJTU Joint School experience. The enthusiastic professors embedded with cutting edge knowledge teach the lectures and laboratory to help develop a professionally well qualified and able to take place in the global-world student.

I am glad to take this opportunity to go to Leeds. The global platform has equipped me with talented thinking and comprehensive skills. I conduct my personal research regarding network handover following a professor. And I gain interview experiences from employability team and successfully get a summer internship in the UK. In addition, I join the School football team and train with good players all around world. Two years at Southwest Jiaotong University learning enhances my good English ability and wide professional knowledges. I believe I will paint my colorful pictures in next two years life in Leeds.
