I was admitted to SWJTU-OSU Joint Program of SWJTU in 2019. I have fully adapted to the academic courses in English and took an active part in a variety of activities organized by school.

It is my honor to study with many excellent students in the SWJTU-OSU Joint Program. The diversified educational ideas and international course shave equipped me with the ability of speaking fluent English and provided me unique insight into my profession. I especially enjoy the discussion style of classes, which makes the classroom atmosphere relaxing. All of the teachers and classmates here are glad to help me both academically and psychologically. I believe that will benefit greatly and realize my dreams of going global after four years of study in our joint program.

It is my honor to be one of the students in the first of the SWJTU-OSU joint program. Looking back on these three years of experience, I am deeply impressed by the charitable nature and responsibility of all the staff, administrative teachers and my classmates. Furthermore, our routine courses cover a wide range of subjects and are rich in professional content. In addition to the daily classroom teaching, the fire engineering experiment class has also enjoyed great popularity among the students.

As a senior, based on my interests and future career orientation, I have set the Engineering/Project Management programs at Northwestern and Cornell University as my goal. God helps those who help themselves, let’s get it!

In three years of study, I have had many opportunities to speak on stage, helping me improve my oral English ability. I can communicate more confidently and boldly with others in English, and my listening has made great progress. In the beginning, it was challenging to keep up with the pace of international professors, but after three years, it's not difficult to understand their classes anymore. In learning, we must read a lot of literature, and I have learned how to research and collect documents; Also, my ability to assimilate and summarize knowledge has improved greatly. International education not only broadens our horizons, but also helps us think more actively and broadly when facing problems. I accept pluralistic knowledge and experience a diversified cultural atmosphere.

Choosing this SWJTU-OSU Joint Program has been one of the best decisions I have made. Previously I thought that fluent English was a distant thing, but now I know that learning it well is a necessity. Now, it is no longer hard for me to utilize my English skills to share ideas with my professors and classmates. Apart from learning professional knowledge in class, I have also participated in many extracurricular activities. As my horizons expand, I have learned that I want to find more possibilities and savor my youth by continuing to study abroad. I couldn’t have made such progress without all my friends’, staff, and professors’ support, and I thank them for altering the course of my life.
