Ms. Yang was born in Yaan, Sichuan Province in April 1966.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Biology, Southwest Normal University in July 1987 and worked as a teacher in the Department of Biology at the university from July 1987 to September 1990. At the Organization Department of Party Committee from September 1990 to February 1996, she worked as cadre, staff member of deputy director level and then of director level, and received her second bachelor’s degree in Law in June 1993.
From February 1996 to April 2003, she served as the Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch Committee of the Department of Audiovisual Education and Deputy Director of the Organization Department of Party Committee of Southwest Normal University. During this period of time, she was accredited as associate professor in November 1999.
From April 2003 to June 2016, she served successively as the Secretary of the General Party Branch Committee of the School of Management, the Secretary of the School of Cultural and Social Development Committee and the School of Liberal Arts Committee of Southwest University. In June 2004, she received her master’s degree in Law.
From June 2016 to July 2019, she served as the Director of Organization Department of Party Committee. She served as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Southwest University Committee and the Director of Organization Department of Party Committee of SWU, and received her academic title of professor in June 2021.
Ms. Yang was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Southwest Jiaotong University Committee in December 2021.
As a member of the University’s leadership, she is also responsible for liaison with the School of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering and the Psychological Research and Counseling Center.
