On the morning of October 28, 2020, Wang Shunhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southwest Jiaotong University, delivered a keynote speech at the Roundtable for University Presidents on the Transformation of Science and Technology, a special forum of the 2020 Inno-match Expo at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

At the Roundtable, Wang Shunhong elaborated from seven aspects on whether scientific and technological achievements in colleges and universities were resources or assets, and reported on the innovation and exploration of Southwest Jiaotong University in the reform of mixed ownership of on-duty scientific and technological achievements. The representatives highly commended the University’s reform and regarded the practice as a great success.

The 2020 Inno-match Expo is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s government, and organized by the Department of Achievement Transformation and Regional Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, and Shanghai Jingan District People’s Government. As an important unit of Pujiang Innovation Forum, the Roundtable for University Presidents on the Transformation of Science and Technology Achievements in Colleges and Universities is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology and hosted by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and Education Working Committee of Shanghai Municipality. The forum attracted dozens of prestigious universities including Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University and Tongji University.
