Joint Research Center of Belt and Road International Organizations Science and Technologies unveiled
The unveiling ceremony for the Joint Research Center of Belt and Road International Organizations Science and Technologies was held on 17 November.
Song Jun, Chairman of China Science and Technology Association (CAST), Liu Yang, the Director of the International Liaison Office of China Science and Technology Association (CAST), Yang Dan, the President of Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), Marc Guigon, Passenger Director and Coordinator of Covid-19 Taskforce of International Union of Railways (UIC), Zhu Huiling, the Project Coordinator of Beijing Office of ICLEI, Martin Woesler, President of the German-Chinese Association and Member of the European Academy of Sciences, participated in the ceremony.
The joint research center was approved by China Science and Technology Association (CAST) in this June, which was jointly applied by Southwest Jiaotong University, International Union of Railways (UIC) and East Asia – ICLEI.
SWJTU, UIC and East Asia – ICLEI will be dedicated to improving talent training, scientific research, as well as collaborating with those international scientific and technological organizations along the Belt and Road countries to promote diversified and substantive cooperation. Aiming to build an open and inclusive international academic exchange platform, the three parties will conduct in-depth research on international science and technology organizations, strive to build more overseas internship bases, organize more high-level international academic conferences, and fulfill their responsibility as a high-end think tank promoting the Belt and Road Initiative.
