2020-12-18

Sponsored by the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges in collaboration with Student International Affairs Center of the School of Information Science and Technology, the First International Exchange Week was launched at SWJTU from December 7 to 11, providing a channel for students to better understand the university's study abroad programs, the strengths and distinctive features of its partners, application procedures and tips for overseas studies.

A total of 1 offline lecture and 19 online lectures were held within 5 days. Representatives of 19 partner universities from 10 countries including Russia, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and Canada introduced the application procedures, admission requirements and assistance policies of study abroad programs respectively. The students can obtain on line the information about different programmes and scholarship policies of these universities and learn how to pursue their studies overseas against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southwest Jiaotong University is committed to developing talents with global competence and improving international learning experience of its students, and has expended considerable efforts to enhance the atmosphere of international learning on campus. As an exploration of international exchanges and cooperation mode in the post-COVID-19 world, this Week of International Exchange brightens the future of the students’ pursuit for overseas studies.
