President Yang Dan on the morning of April 26^th met with a Chiba University delegation led by its Vice President, Makoto Watanabe.

President Yang welcomed the delegation on behalf of the University and gave a brief introduction to the University’s history, discipline development, talent training and global strategy, especially the innovative measures such as the construction of International Campus. He highlighted the importance of partnerships with world-class universities and the wish to enhance cooperation with Chiba University in the promotion of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges.

Makoto Watanabe said that their visit to SWJTU can be viewed as the starting point of the all-round cooperation in addition to the exchanges between the teachers and students of the two universities.

After the meeting, the two sides held a symposium. Participants of the symposium included Yao Faming, Vice President of SWJTU.

After the symposium, the delegation visited the School of Design and had in-depth exchanges with the faculty.
