October 26 saw the inauguration of the “Design for China—the 11th National Environmental Art Design Exhibition” in Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. This exhibition was hosted by China Artists Association and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, and organized by Fine Arts Center of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC), Environmental Design Art Committee of China Artists Association and College of Environment and Architectural Arts of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.
The design works of Li Jie and Xu Xiaofei from the School of Design, being one of the only three from Sichuan Province, were selected into the final list for display among a total of 212 throughout the nation.
The Exhibition is the most academically authoritative and professional platform sponsored by China Artists Association in environmental art design, aimed at promoting the level of design and demonstrating the latest fruits in this field.
Brief Introduction to the Works
Manifesting the notion and image of water and willow, the community landscape renovation design named “willow and water” transforms the flowing elements into supple and varying landscape boundaries. The design exemplifies community renovation embedded in the environment of the future and caters to the demands of people of different age groups for public space, integrating the image of water and willow into harmonious community surroundings.
