Lecturer: Ma Yansheng

About the Lecturer:

Ma Yansheng, Bachelor of English Language and Literature, Department of English Language & Literature, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Master of International Relations, Department of Political Science, McGill University, Canada, enrolled in 1977 Ministry of Education and performed duties in diplomatic and educational affairs, and worked for UNESCO for 25 years. He served as Education Counselor of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Houston, Vice Permanent Delegate of the People's Republic of China to UNESCO, Education and Cultural Counselor of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to the European Union, Vice President of Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Minister-Counselor (Educational) of the Chinese Embassy in France. In December 2003, Mr. Ma was awarded “Honorary Citizenship" and appointed "Goodwill Ambassador" by Mayor of Houston, USA. In August 2017, he was offered the “Order of Academic Palms” by the French government.
