Remuneration & Living Benefits

Annual Salary: No less than 800,000 RMB base salary (Pre-tax, bonus provided).

Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 1.5-2 million (Pre-tax, one-time only, excluding rewards or funds provided by other departments). China Construction Bank will provide a specialized service proposal for renting or purchasing.

Additional benefits: Help with spouse employment and children’s admittance to kindergarten and school.

Work Benefits

Position: Appointment as professor (II or III) and Doctoral Supervisor.

Research start-up fund: According to the national talent project allocation of funds, the professor will receive matching research funding of no more than RMB 4 million. Special disciplines are configured according to the current needs of scientific research.

Work and laboratory space: According to the current needs of the scientific research configuration.

Postgraduate admission numbers: Independent List (Ph.D.≥2/year; Postgraduate≥2-3/year).

Additional benefits: Appointment to a proper managerial position for those with the willingness and appropriate managerial experience.

(2) Outstanding Talents

National Youth Talents projects winners, as well as young scholars at the same level who have a considerable academic level and academic contributions and have been recognized by the university.

Remuneration & Living Benefits

Annual Salary: No less than 600,000 RMB base salary (Pre-tax, bonus provided).

Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 1.2-1.5 million (Pre-tax, one-time only, excluding rewards or funds provided by other departments). China Construction Bank will provide a specialized service proposal for renting or purchasing.

(3) EYAS[1] Scholars

Talents who received a doctoral degree from a world-renowned university abroad or a Chinese world-class university, with distinguished academic achievements and development potentials, and with the qualifications and competitive potential to apply for national youth talent plans and projects. Candidates under the age of 35 (Science and Engineering Category) or 37 (Humanities and Social Sciences Category) are preferred.

Remuneration & Living Benefits

Annual Salary: No less than 400,000 RMB base salary (Pre-tax, bonus provided).

Housing and settling-in allowance: 400,000-600,000 RMB (Pre-tax, one-time only).

Position: Appointment as distinguished professor or distinguished associate professor, Doctoral Supervisor for the eligible.

(4) Assistant Professor & Postdoctoral Fellows

Assistant Professor

Talents who received a doctoral degree from a world-renowned university in China or abroad, having scientific research ability and development potential. Candidates under the age of 35 are preferred.

Remuneration & Living Benefits

Annual Salary: No less than 200,000 RMB base salary (Pre-tax, bonus provided).

Housing and settling-in allowance: 200,000 RMB (Pre-tax, with 50,000 RMB distributed during the tenure-track faculty appointment period and the rest in the event of getting a tenured position).

Additional Benefits: Help with children’s admittance to kindergarten and school.

Work Benefits

Position: Appointment as assistant professor.

Research start-up fund: 100,000-120,000 RMB (Science and Engineering Category), 50,000-60,000 RMB (Humanities and Social Sciences Category).

Postdoctoral Fellow

Talents who received a doctoral degree from a recognized university or research institute in China or abroad, having good academic training. Candidates under the age of 35 are preferred.

Remuneration & Career Development

Annual Salary: No less than 300,000 RMB (Engineering Category), 250,000 RMB (Science Category), 200,000 RMB (Humanities and Social Sciences Category) base salary for 3 years.

Housing: Provision of a postdoctoral apartment or housing allowance.

Research start-up fund: Provision of matching research funding according to China Post-doctoral Science Funds, and enjoyment of SWJTU’s funding award policies.

Additional Benefits: Help with children’s admittance to kindergarten and school.

Talents who have distinguished academic achievements during their postdoc may apply for promotion to assistant professor or associate professor.
