SWJTU’s Supporting Institution (Lead): Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering

The State-Province Joint Engineering Laboratory of Spatial Information Technology for HSR Operation Safety was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in November 2013, and upgraded from Sichuan Engineering Laboratory of Spatial Information Technology for HSR Operation Safety (approved by the Sichuan Development and Reform Commission in 2011).

Considering the urgent needs of HSR operation safety, the laboratory has carried out a series of researches on packaged technologies and product & equipment development, with emphasis on solving the problems encountered in the development of related industries, such as the spatial information acquisition and processing technology, HSR detection and monitoring technology, and construction of the early warning and emergency response platform for prevention of HSR geological environment disasters.

In the past five years, the laboratory has undertaken more than 160 national, provincial, and ministerial-level scientific research projects, and won over 10 awards of provincial, ministerial and higher levels.
