On Friday 26 November 2021, the International Union of Railways (UIC) held a video conference on the completion evaluation of its science and research projects, and Prof. Shuai Bin and his team from the School of Transportation and Logistics attended the meeting and presented their research results.
In 2020, the project of Prof. Shuai Bin’s team, Risk Assessment of International Railway Transport Routes, was granted funds by UIC and enlisted as one of the three Chinese projects approved last year. The project focuses on the practical issues and aims at improving rail transportation cooperation and development between the Asian-Pacific region and Eurasia continent.
UIC was founded in December, 1922 in Paris, to which China is a founding member. Since December 2010, the University has been cooperating with UIC in expertise development, co-research, training, etc., and ]became an official member of UIC in 2016, contributing to international railway development in various ways.
