Li Xun, a graduate student in the class of 2022 at the School of Information Science and Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, won the first prize of the 2021 Chinese Institute of Electronics Integrated Circuit Scholarship. Among a national total of 47 first-prize winners including 40 doctoral candidates, 5 master’s students and 2 undergraduates, Li is the first SWJTUer to obtain such a scholarship, marking the University’s great step forward in the field of integrated circuit.
Chinese Institute of Electronics Integrated Circuit Scholarship is awarded to excellent undergraduate and graduate students from universities and research institutions with programs related to integrated circuits and degree awarding powers. In 2021, Chinese Institute of Electronics issued awards of three levels, i.e., Special Grand Scholarship (6 winners countrywide) and First-prize Scholarship in two levels (47 winners countrywide). In addition, BI REN Special Scholarship was granted to 3 winners this year.
During his postgraduate studies, Li Xun published a paper in the top journal of power electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and another in the leading journal of electronic circuit and system, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, and he applied for and received three national invention patents. Moreover, he led a team to participate in China Postgraduate IC Innovation Competition and won the national third prize.
