On February 21, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) announced that SWJTU obtained the business accreditation for its School of Economics and Management, with a term of five years.

Over the past decade, the School of Economics and Management has established a high-quality sustainable management system through unremitting pursuit and continuous improvement in accordance with the laws and standards of international business education. AACSB accreditation marks another significant achievement of the School’s international strategy and a milestone in the School’s development, which is of great significance to the School in its exploration of the international advanced business management system to further improve its management competence and enhance the international influence of the School and the University.

The School of Economics and Management passed the qualification for the accreditation application in early 2017. After it has successfully completed the initial self-assessment report, progress report, final self-assessment report and other rounds of evaluation, the on-site visit was initiated in 2022. From November 13th to 16th, 2022, AACSB evaluation expert panel consisting of Robin Gauld, Honorary Vice President of the University of Otago and Dean of the Business School, Yan Xiangbin, Vice President of University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Feng Gengzhong, Dean of the School of Management of Xi’an Jiaotong University, paid a four-day virtual visit to the School of Economics and Management. SWJTU President Yang Dan and Vice President Liu Changjun also partook in the online meeting.
