On the evening of March 14^th, the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra presented a chamber concert on Xipu Campus. More than 600 faculty and students enjoyed the campus gala, one of a series of events – “Elegant Art on Campus”, sponsored by the Education Department of Sichuan Provincial Government and Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

The concert kicked off with a melodious music of string quartet and climaxed with a quartet of trumpet, horn, trombone, and tuba. A piece of Fly Me to the Moon culminated the festivity.

Jia Xuanqi, a student from the School of Humanities, said, “Enjoying a live concert with my friends is an amazing and indelible experience. Not only do I relax myself after class, I also develop a keen sense of beauty. Since it is a rare spiritual enjoyment for everyone, we look forward to more similar activities in the future.”

Sichuan Symphony Orchestra has not only provided many spectacular concerts for music fans in China, especially in the western region, but also enjoyed a high reputation internationally, making contributions to the cultural exchange between China and other countries.
