According to the “2022 Analysis Report on National University Students Competitions” released by China Association of Higher Education on March 22, Southwest Jiaotong University hits a new record high and ranks third on the Undergraduate Competition List (Undergraduate, TOP100) with 478 awards and a total score of 94.26 points, up 2 places from last year.

To help students comprehend more thoroughly and take active part in extracurricular innovation and practice, SWJTU has continued to roll out the Weeks of Undergraduate Competitions and Lectures on Innovation and Entrepreneurship over the past year, during which the University offered 23 online and offline practical competition courses to over 3,000 students, organized more than 60 competitions at different levels and under different disciplines such as National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest and China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CUMCM), and presented 210 lectures and practical training sessions. Over 20,000 students participated in the competitions and training sessions. The year 2022 witnessed a series of landmark achievements, including the gold medal at China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the grand prize in group competition of China Mechanics Competition in Honour of Zhou Peiyuan (CMCZ), 3 first prizes at National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students (NACTranS), and 13 first prizes of National University BIM Graduation Design Innovation Competition.
