On November 8th, as the supporting institution of 2024 Smart City International Training Program, Southwest Jiaotong University received the delegation of the Program, which included Bogdan Sudițu, Chairman of the City Planning Technical Committee of Bucharest City Council, Michael Gumo, Member of the Innovation and Digital Economy Executive Committee of Nairobi City Hall, and Truphena Ogonda, Chief Officer for ICT Infrastructure and Information Security of Nairobi City Council.
The delegation paid visits to the Integrated Intelligent Transportation Systems Basic Information Laboratory, Traffic Safety Collaborative Simulation Laboratory, Integrated Railway Hub Laboratory, and Comprehensive Operations Simulation Laboratory for Railway Marshalling Yards. They listened carefully to the explanations from lab staff and had in-depth discussions with their hosts on relevant issues.
With the focus on smart transport and smart logistics, the Smart City International Training Program was held in Chengdu from November 4 to 8 by the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of Chengdu Municipal Committee of the CPC in collaboration with the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO).
