The graduation ceremony for the inaugural high-speed railway training program at Tianyou Railway Institute was held at Xipu Campus. The event was attended by faculty representatives, 18 Thai graduates, and officials from Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and Tianyou Railway Institute.

In July, 2023, the Khon Kaen University-SWJTU Tianyou Railway Institute was officially established. By November, 18 exceptional Thai students began their one-year professional training program at the University. The program included a mix of theoretical coursework in high-speed railway technologies, practical internships, Chinese language summer camps, and participation in the SDGs Global Startup Competition.

The director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges extended congratulations to the 18 graduates on their successful completion of the program. Ms. Li Li, faculty representative of the School of Transportation and Logistics, reflected on the year spent with the students, commending their dedication and outstanding performance in the classroom.

Teerapon Boontod, a representative of the Thai students, shared that the one-year high-speed railway training was highly rewarding. “We gained valuable insights into China’s advanced rail transit technologies, but also experienced the prestigious Chinese culture and expanded our horizons”, he said. Teerapon expressed heartfelt gratitude to the officers, teachers, and staff who supported the program and pledged to cherish this enriching journey.
