On the afternoon of October 27, the Bio-Tribology and Biomimetic Manufacturing Team of the University was honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award by International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing at the celebration of its fifth anniversary and during the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES).

Founded in 2019, International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing focuses on cutting-edge topics in manufacturing, including extreme environments, scales, and functions. With a recent impact factor of 16.1, the journal has rapidly emerged as a leading international academic publication in mechanical engineering, holding the top spot in global engineering manufacturing rankings for two consecutive years.

The Bio-Tribology and Biomimetic Manufacturing Team, led by Professor Zhou Zhongrong, Vice President of the University, has made significant contributions in areas such as dental anti-wear function mechanism, mechanical-chemical biomimetic rock breaking mechanism, and surface anti-adhesion wear-resistant designs and manufacturing.
