From July 24 to 25, the four teams from Southwest Jiaotong University were decorated with two first prizes, one second prize and one third prize in the final of the 16th Yoodao·Didi Cup National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Undergraduate Students held at Chongqing Jiaotong University. SWJTU has reaped the best results ever in the competition, ranking top among all the participating colleges and universities nationwide in terms of level and quantity of awards.
Since the 16th NACTranS was launched in September 2020, a joint supervising group was established with experts and professors from the School of Transportation and Logistics, School of Information Science and Technology, School of Mechanical Engineering and School of Electrical Engineering, responsible for training the participating teams and providing guidance for their practice. After the university-level preliminary, semi-finals and finals, the top teams were selected for the national competition and the supervising group provided them with special training sessions.
Entries of the University’s teams were made to meet the actual demands of people with due consideration given to mass production, and were highly recognized by the professional judges in this competition.
In addition, Professor Shuai Bin and Professor Yang Fei from the School of Transportation and Logistics were invited to judge at the national final.
Sponsored by China Institute of Communications Education and reviewed by the Teaching Steering Committee of Collegiate Traffic and Transport-Related Programs under the Ministry of Education, the 16th NACTranS (Yoodao·Didi Cup) is a national competition of science and technology for undergraduate students. This competition is expected to pool the university talents and promote innovative thinking, design and research, with focus on the solutions to the drawbacks and difficulties of the transportation sector. The Competition has received 1,130 entries in total from 170 colleges and universities across the country.
