Recently, Prof. Kan Qianhua’s team made a breakthrough in the contact stability of functionally gradient materials of thermo-mechanical coupling. 

The result, a thesis named “Thermo-mechanically coupled sliding contact shakedown analysis of functionally graded coating-substrate structures”, has been published in International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (the top ranking according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, IF:5.329), a leading journal of mechanical science.
