2023 3rd IEEE International Conference on Digital Society and Intelligent Systems was recently held in Chengdu. It was hosted by Southwest Jiaotong University in collaboration with the University of Technology Sydney, Sichuan University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and Wuhan University of Technology. More than 150 experts and scholars from over 10 countries and 70 universities attended the Conference and discussed the development and applications of intelligent system technologies in the digital society. The conference covered cutting-edge topics in the fields of artificial intelligence, deep learning, digital infrastructure and digital healthcare.
Professor Li Lin from Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Chair of DSInS 2023 Organizing Committee, introduced the history of the Conference, its fields of research and the members, and depicted to the participants the brilliant prospects of the conference.
The keynote speeches made at the conference are as follows:
“Unifying Continual Learning, OOD Detection and Open World Learning” by Professor Liu Bing, AAAI/ACM/IEEE fellow, from University of Illinois at Chicago;
“Robust Edge and Boundary Segmentation in Urban Pavement Defects Detection” by Prof Peng Bo from Southwest Jiaotong University;
“Combing Multi-Biometric Recognition Techniques to Smart Cities” by Prof Shi-Jinn Horng from Asia University;
“Hyperbolic Mutual Learning for Bundle Recommendation” by Prof Li Lin from Wuhan University of Technology;
“Intelligent Data Analytics with Human-in-the-Loop for Smart Healthcare in Digital Society” by Prof Xiaohui Tao from University of Southern Queensland, Australia;
“IE-Evo: Internal and External Evolution-Enhanced Temporal Knowledge Graph Forecasting” by Prof Zhao Feng from Huazhong University of Science and Technology;
“Efficient Analysis of Biological Big Data” by Professor Wei Yanjie, Director of High-Performance Computing Centre and Big Data Processing Platform, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Following the keynote speeches, over 40 experts and scholars gave presentations on their research. At the conference, six scholars were selected by the expert panel of the conference organizing committee, and awarded the prizes for “Best Paper”, “Best Student Paper” and “Best Poster” respectively.
