Recently, Professor Zhou Xianli’s team from the School of Life Sciences and Engineering has made new breakthroughs in the design, synthesis, and druggability research of antibacterial drugs.
They published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, a top international journal in the field of medicine chemistry, an article entitled “Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation of Novel Arylomycins against Multidrug-Resistant Gram-Negative Bacteria”, with the School of Life Sciences and Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University as the first affiliation. The first author of the paper is Zhang Yinyong, a doctoral student supervised by Professor Zhou Xianli from the School of Life Sciences and Engineering and the corresponding authors are Prof. Zhou and Researcher Yang Yushe from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica Chinese Academy of Sciences.
